TSR Weekly Wrap | 14 August 2024
We won the inaugural The TAB Eureka slot race last year with 4yo mare Encipher.
Can we do it again?
Well our chances have certainly been enhanced with the announcement that another 4yo mare in Major Delight will be racing in the $2.1m feature at Menangle on Saturday, September 7 - bringing together two of our stable clients in owner Peter Lewis and slot holder Team Zav (Danny and Jo Zavitsanos)
Major Delight joins The Lost Storm, which has secured by Aaron Bain Racing and Summit Bloodstock (last year’s winning slot holders) to contest The TAB Eureka for a second time.
Major Delight has an outstanding record at Menangle with six wins in eight starts, with her latest success being in the listed Norms Daughter Classic for mares in a career-best 1:50.3 on Saturday night.
She has now won her past four starts, three of them at Menangle.
We have already had a busy start to the week and there’s much more to come.
We have had starters at two venues for trials - 6 at Melton on Monday and 10 at Ballarat on Tuesday.
Now we move forward with 19 acceptors at four meetings over two days - 5 at Mildura (our first visit there for the season) 4 at Melton on Friday and nine at Melton and 1 at Albion Park on Saturday.
We have a 54% winning strike at Mildura.
