CLAYTON TONKIN
Clayton has harness racing in his blood. His father Peter was a leading Group 1 winning trainer and Clayton worked with him from a very young age, before setting up his own Stable over 20 years ago with his partner Emma Stewart.
Clayton’s training approach and philosophy is to leave no stone unturned, with a constant drive for excellence. It is this approach that yielded amazing early success for Tonkin Stewart Racing, with Group 1 winning horses like Safari, Bonavista Bay and Maffioso, which really elevated the Stable to new heights. Added to these champions are the modern day stars such as Philadelphia Man, Guaranteed, Restrepo and Poster Boy, along with current superstar Ride High.
These incredible horses are the reason why Tonkin Stewart Racing has established itself as a powerhouse in harness racing.
