We’re about to launch into a massive three months.
It all starts with Victoria Derby and Victoria Oaks heats at Melton on Saturday night, leading into the finals, Victoria Cup, Breeders Crown, Inter Dominion and Vicbred Super Series.
We’re looking forward to more exciting times
Three-year-olds Captain Ravishing and Encipher – both by Captaintreacherous - were among winners in the past week that we’ll be seeing front and centre from the outset.
Captain Ravishing made another bold statement in winning the $25,000 Reg Withers 3yo Classic at Kilmore on Friday night.
He took 1.5sec off the track record.
Encipher returned to racing in the same way she left off in the South Australian Oaks in May - winning at Bendigo on Tuesday.
They are the only two starts she’s had this season and with seven wins in 13 starts is on the verge of tipping over $300,000 in earnings.
Other highlights:
+ 3yo filly Talk Time, a half-sister to Act Now, stretched her winning run to three and remains unbeaten this season. Scored by 28.9m.
+ 2yo colt Perfect Class saluted on debut.
+ Hes Ideal made it two wins from two starts since a year off the scene, giving him six wins in eight career runs.
+ 4yo Narutac Prince won first-up for the stable.
The early part of the week ahead for us includes heats of the Alabar Vicbred Platinum Home Grown Classic for two-year-olds at Bendifo on Wednesday night.
