We’ve had a relatively quiet few weeks on the back of a strong start to the season.

Our country cups trail continues though.

We have Meteor Moth lining up in Friday night’s $20,000 Ararat Pacing Cup.

He’s had just the two starts this season, with a last-start second in the Mercrcury80 over the 1200m at Melton.

OUR attention will then turn to Hobart on Saturday night, when last-start winner Believeitor Not starts in the Henry Pullen Memorial.

We will also have a close eye on the performances of the Bill Dornauf-trained duo of Celebrity Royal in the $150,000 Tasmania Cup Final and unbeaten Enjoy Life at the feature meeting.

WE did have some starters at Ballarat trials on Tuesday, including Loucasso.

The group 1 and 2-winning 3yo had a solid hit-out, winning in 1:59.1 with his last 800m in 55.6.

The Art Of Success, the winner of his only start, also led home his rivals.
