TSR Weekly Wrap | 30 May 2022
A big congratulation to our stable driver Mark Pitt who had his 500th career win in the past week.
He is enjoying a career-best season with 75 winners at a strike rate of 33 per cent and well on the way to bettering his career-high of 118 wins back in 2015-16.
Cannot help the great line-up of broodmares which produced winners for us in the past week.
Celebrity Ball had two winners – Major Celebrity and Runaway Celebrity.
Major Celebrity (Art Major) remained unbeaten in two starts with victory in the $24,000 Sapling Stakes at Melton on Saturday night.
The colt is eighth winner out of the Celebrity Ball, which won four of 15 starts.
Runaway Celebrity is also on the way to another feature race after taking out a Vicbred Platinum Mares Sprint Champion heat in Ballarat on Thursday.
The series will culminate in a $40,000 final on August 6.
Talk Time had her first win at Bendigo on Friday to give her dam Mollys Ideal a second winner.
Mollys Ideal is also the mother of Victoria Derby winner Act Now.
It was Talk Time’s first start for the stable, first start of the season and third career outing.
Cant Top This enhanced the record of her dam Ideal For Real with his ninth win at Melton on Saturday.
Ideal For Real has produced five winners, including top shelf pacer Ideal For Real, which won the NSW Derby and Vicbred Super Series 4yo final before a premature end to his career.
And then just to top it off, Ballarat winner Cocorock is granddaughter of champion trotting racemare and broodmare La Coocaracha.
