Weekly Wrap | Tonkin Stewart Racing | 25 April 2021

We’ve had a week highlighted by very satisfying wins by two two-year-olds on debut – Fiamma and Beach Villa.

Fiamma rated 1:56.3 over 1720m at Melton – charging away over the last 100m.

She is by Bettors Delight and out of Twice As Hot – making her a full sister to now US-based two-time Inter Dominion final placegetter Flaming Flutter (28 wins) and multiple group 1-placed Two Times Bettor (14 wins).

Beach Villa (Somebeachsomewhere-Aston Villa) is a full brother to five-time group 1 winner Poster Boy (22 wins), which had victories including the Chariots of Fire. Aston Villa is also the dam of Yankee Rockstar (22 wins) and Born To Rocknroll (17 wins).

Week in review:

1st Beach Villa (Kate Gath): Victoria Sapling Stakes, 1720m (1:55.1), at Melton on Saturday, April 24. Did everything right and more in an impressive performance.

1st Mach Dan (Greg Sugars):  APG heat for 4yo entires/geldings, 1720m (1:56.7), at Melton on Friday, April 23. This qualifies him for the group 1 $210,000 final at Melton on Saturday, May 1. This stretches his winning run to six since resuming in late February.

1st Fiamma (Kate Gath): Alabar 2yo Pace, 1720m (1:56.3), at Melton on Friday, April 23. A victory by 14m on debut.
