A big campaign coming up for The Lost Storm.

As announced on Wednesday, the 3yo colt will represent the TAB in the inaugural $2.1 million slot race, the TAB Eureka at Club Menangle on September 2.

That assignment will follow the $350,000 The Rising Sun at Albion Park on July 8.

By Captaintreacherous, The Lost Storm won seven of nine starts as a 2yo, with his final start of that campaign being a victory in the group 1 Vicbred Super Series final.

Meanwhile, we start to look ahead to some of the season’s biggest age classics we continue to build with our youngsters.

Some American became our latest 2yo to join the winners’ list, saluting on debut at Melton on Thursday.

The American Ideal colt is the first foal out of a mare well known to us - Somerocksomeroll.

She spent all her career with us, winning eight of 19 starts.

We also trained Some American’s second dam Rocknrolla, with her winning 12 of 27 starts.

We’ve reflected on similar ties in the past and it is always interesting to track success down a family line like this.
