TSR Weekly Wrap | 15 May 2023
This season’s crop of two-year-olds continues to develop.
Timmy Rictor and Renewal added to our tally of juvenile wins over the past week at their first racetrack appearances in Victoria.
A Modern Art colt, Timmy Rictor scored at his first start since the Bathurst Gold Crown Carnival in March.
He won his Gold Crown heat and finished second in the final, and then had a freshen up.
American Ideal filly Renewal won debut at Launceston in early April and then backed that up at Geelong.
Our other two-year-old winners this season have included War Dan Buddy, Stormryder, Miki To Success and Perpetuity.
We had another two unraced youngsters at the trials in Ballarat on Tuesday - colt King Repellere (Bettors Delight-Repelem) and gelding Sir Jimmy (Art Major-Carolsideal).
MEANWHILE, 4yo mare Dannemora remains unbeaten in Australia after saluting at Maryborough.
She’s had three starts for as many wins since arriving from New Zealand.
WE’VE become the first to top 50 winners in Victoria for the season, to lead the state trainers’ premiership.
We share the lead in the metropolitan trainers’ premiership with Andy Gath on 19 wins.
