Now that was some sort of night at Melton on Saturday.
Landing our first success in the prized Victoria Cup will always hold a special place.
What a job Act Now has done, adding to his Victoria Derby victory two years ago and with win number 21 taking his earnings to $887,285.
The partnership he has had with Jodi Quinlan is also a great story, with the two combining in all but one of his 43 starts.
Petracca led home a quinella for us in Derby, with Perfect Class a brave second.
Then in the Oaks, Sweet Bella took the honours as we produced the first five past the post in the classic with Major Delight second and Perfect In Pink third.
The mega success on the night took stable earnings past $6m for the season - the first time we’ve achieved this milestone.
Major Delight heads to Menangle on Saturday night for the NSW Breeders Challenge 3yo fillies’ semi-finals, having won a heat at Wagga on September 22.
Oliver Dan will line up in a 3yo colts and geldings semi-final.
We’re also off to the G3 Geelong Pacing Cup on Saturday night with Major Moth (first up since April), Mach Dan and Beyond Delight.
