Another special night in Tasmania.

Wheres The Gold continued his rise with victory in Australia’s richest standing start pacing race -  the Group 1 $150,000 Tasmania Cup at Hobart on Saturday night.

Tassie has become the 4yo’s home away from home.

He’s won six of his seven starts since arriving from New Zealand and the latest four of his successes have been on the Apple Isle - three at Hobart and one at Launceston.

Looking forward to what he can achieve over the rest of the season.

Wheres The Gold headlined a quartet wins we had at the meeting, with Major Grace remaining unbeaten in five starts since landing from NZ and another former Kiwi The Only Decision going back-to-back.

Curiously, so well has the team been going in Tasmania that we sit second on the state’s trainers’ premiership behind the prolific-winning Ben Yole.

The past week also saw us make a strong start to the Bathurst Gold Crown Carnival, winning two 2yo heats with first-starters - colt Timmy Rictor and filly Perpetuity.

Then to cap it all off Cant Top This saluted in Sunday’s Charlton Pacing Cup to go to the top of the Victoria Country Cups Championship.

Congratulations also go to Bill and Anne Anderson, of Lauriston Bloodstock, on Kabbalah Karen B being named the 2022 Victorian pacing broodmare of the year by Harness Breeders Victoria.

She had three starters - Ladies In Red, Perfect In Pink and Our Little Jet - for 12 wins and $460,000 in earnings.
