Our major focus in the week ahead is squarely on New South Wales.

Mach Dan will kick off our presence north of the border in the G2 Newcastle Mile - a race he won last year in 1:52.7 to earn a start in the Miracle Mile.

Publicly, no one is getting more attention as our excitement machine Captain Ravishing.

He’s landed the plum draw of one in the 4yo feature, Chariots of Fire.

Not only is victory in one of Australia’s most prestigious races on the line, so too is an invitation to the Miracle Mile.

Captain Ravishing has already given us so many thrills.

While he raced there as a 3yo, this will be the first time we have campaigned him at Menangle.

We also have Tough Tilly in the G3 Robin Dundee Stakes for mares.

Meanwhile, it’s been a quiet past week for us at Victoria meetings.
