It was a memorable Queensland Winter Carnival for us.

What a way to cap it off, with new stable star Soho Historia capturing her first G1 in the Queensland Oaks at Albion Park on Saturday night. Her finish was sensational and had to be seen to be believed.

Patiently driven by Mark Pitt, she had just three behind her on the home bend before going five and six wide to find clear air. Then didn’t she eat up the ground!

Soho Historia has come on in leaps and bounds since joining the stable in late March and is unbeaten in six starts for us, with more than $100,000 in earnings this season.

She gave us a double for the night, with Beyond Delight bouncing back to also score.

It was our second double of the carnival, with Ladies In Red taking out the G1 Rising Sun and Maajida the G3 Ladyship Stakes two weeks earlier.

It was also to see Honolua Bay making a winning return in the Popular Alm Sprint at Kilmore on Saturday night.

He hadn’t raced since New Year’s Eve.

Looking forward to what he has in store for us over coming months.

Like Soho Historia, Honolua Bay has won all six starts for us.
