We’ve been fortunate to have many trebles over the years.

There was something different about a treble we had at Bendigo on Tuesday night (October 28) though.

Not only were they all bred by Peter Gleeson, who we have had a great association with for many years, they were also all from the same family going back to legendary broodmare Larrakeyah Lady, which was also bred by Gleeson.

The treble featured debutants Seaside Boy in the Gold Central Victoria Maiden Pace, 1650m, in a slick 1:52.8 and Beach Dancer in the Haeuslers Echuca 3yo Maiden Pace, 1650m, and Most Exciting having his second start in the Smartloans Bendigo 2yo Maiden Pace, 1650m.

Let’s look at their pedigrees:

SEASIDE BOY (Downbytheseaside US): out of All The Magic (dam of 8 winners including Ride High), second dam Celebrity Ball (dam of 9 winners), third dam Larrakeyah Lady (dam of 9 winners including Safe And Sound, Massarua).

MOST EXCITING (Always B Miki US): out of Celebrity Guest (dam of 5 winners), second dam Celebrity Ball, third dam Larrakeyah Lady.

BEACH DANCER (Somebeachsomewhere US): first foal out of Dance Class, second dam Play Ball (dam of 5 winners), third dam Secret Life (dam of 7 winners including Beauty Secret and Major Secret), fourth dam Lifeline (dam of 7 winners), fifth dam Larrakeyah Lady.

What a breeding line and we’ve been lucky to train so many members of this family.

This Bendigo treble rounded out a busy week which featured Miki To Success taking out the Group 3 South Australian Pacing Cup at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night (October 25) and back-to-back trebles at Melton.
