Once she found the lead she was always going to be hard to chase down and that’s how it worked out.

Arrhythmia rated a career-best 1:50 over the 1609m, 0.2sec inside her Oaks heat winning time.

She is building an outstanding record with 10 wins and 2 seconds in 12 starts for $263,435 ahead of some big assignments coming up.

War Dan Buddy made a welcome return to the winner’s circle in the listed City of Melton Plate at Melton on Saturday night.

Coming off a luckless second at Wagga a month earlier, the 5yo left nothing to chance with his late burst for a 13th career win.

We now take a breath and set our sights on the Queensland Winter Carnival.
