TSR Weekly Wrap | 8 Mar 2024
We’re back for another crack at the New South Wales Derby at Menangle on Saturday, March 9.
Bay Of Biscay goes to the 3yo classic after saluting in one of three heats.
We last had success in the NSW Derby in 2018 when Poster Boy led home a stable trifecta, with Tam Major and Major Times second and third respectively.
Bay Of Biscay has won 4 of 7 starts and this is his first interstate venture.
The past week also featured a treble at Ballarat on February 29, with Clayton training two of them - Zahra Lou and Indelible.
A 3yo filly by Sweet Lou, Zahra Lou won on debut and is the third winner out of Bettors Delight mare Bella Shine.
Indelible was having her first start in Victoria after four outings in Tasmania.
Emma rounded out the night with Shanlou, with her completing a hattrick of wins.
Clayton has had only a handful of starters in recent times, with six winners from nine starters since June last year.
Last time he had multiple winners was a treble at Melton on December 22 in 2020.
