The Lost Storm makes his much awaited return to racing at Melton on Saturday night.

After missing the planned trip to Tasmania, his first appearance of the season comes in the $50,000 City of Melton Plate XXXV for 4yos and 5yos.

He hasn’t raced since the Victoria Derby in mid-October, a run which ended a campaign which stretched a winning sequence to seven.

He’s trialled twice in the build for wins at Melton on February 13 and 26.

Perfect Class also lines up in the City of Melton Plate after a first-up second in the 4yo Bonanza.

Shanlou also goes after a fourth win in a row in the Ian Daff Memorial for mares.

We’re continuing the preparation of our 2yos as they get close to making their race debuts.

Clayton had six unraced youngsters trial at Melton on Tuesday.

It’s been a quiet time at the races for us, but what an effort it was by Bay Of Biscay in the NSW Derby, leading and missing out by 1.1m in finishing seconds.

Plenty more to come from this con of Somebeachsomewhere.
