TSR Weekly Wrap | 8 Nov

A massive start to the Breeders Crown Series with wins in five of six three-year-old pacing heats at Bendigo on Friday night.

They were our first runners for week.

Tough Tilly, Beach Music and Joanna provided a clean sweep of the fillies’ division, while it was two of out three with Act Now and Beyond Delight in the colts and geldings’ heats.

Joanna led home a stable trifecta.

With the top eight in heat progressing to the semi-finals at Melton next Saturday night, we were fortunate to get all our runners through to the second phase (see below).

A feature of the Bendigo heats was having a different driver on each of the winners – Kate Gath, David Moran, Jackie Barker, Jodie Quinlan and Greg Sugars.

And with five Breeders Crown heat winners at Bendigo Emma took her season tally past 150 – the seventh season in a row she has reached this milestone.

Fortunate to continue the with another three winners in Breeders Crown two-year-old heats at Maryborough on Sunday with fillies Irish Black Label, Rich Beauty and Playing Up.

Again the drives were shared around - David Moran, Bailey McDonough and Greg Sugars sharing the honours.

We will also have a strong representation in these heats.

MEANWHILE in Tasmania, Longfellow returns to his home state to take out a TASBRED Globe Derby 3yo colts/geldings heat at Launceston on Sunday night.

He overcame a last minute sulky change and sitting outside the leader to out-class his rivals, running about by almost 40m with former Victoria Natalee Emery ion the cart.
